Kerastase Ciment Thermique

Kerastase is a brand that I’ve heard such great things about but never actually tried any of the products. I do think some of their products can be a little pricey, however I decided to take the plunge and try got this for around £14. Kérastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Heat-Activated Reconstructor Milk Level 1-4 is a heat protective milk for weakened hair, meaning it was the perfect match for my highlighted locks.

This leave in treatment works in a very different way to previous products I’ve tried. In order to strengthen and fortify the hair fibre from the inside out it needs to be used with heat from a blow dry or straighteners. I’ve never tried a product with a concept like this and it work as a heat protector as well as a reconstructor and strengthener. However this is a little bit of a pain when I want to let my hair air dry.

When using this you have to use the smallest amount as it can make your hair feel like it is coated, but doesn’t dull or change the colour of your hair in any way. I take about the size of a 1 pence piece and work it through the ends of my hair then leave it until my hair is about 80% dry then blow dry as usual. The smell from this product is amazing, it’s literally like a fruity heaven on your head!

I haven’t seen massive improvements in my hair but the ends feel so much better than before. I’m going to keep using along with my other hair products and hopefully it will continue to grow even healthier than before.

Have you tried any of the Kerastase range? What are your favourite hair products?
